Visit Barcelona / Barcelona 's Overview
Having already visited Barcelona 4 times
& read all those Barcelona tourist guides,
some of those quite helpful I have to say,
although most of them not even close to reality,
I decided to create my own Barcelona web site
in order to guide you at
all the right Barcelona paths.

Barcelona - Gaudi 's Sagrada Familia |
SAGRADA FAMILIA - ANTONI GAUDI
Sagrada Familia is the most known Barcelona's landmark. It is located in "eixample" area and has a homonym metro station nearby.
A majestic church which left unfinished when Gaudi died in 1926.
Unfortunatelly DURING THE LAST 80 YEARS and for some more yet to come,
Sagrada Famillia is UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
In case you insist on visiting this great monument
(before 2030-the year that is estimated
that the project will complete) you should be prepared
for a long queue in the entrance area, and try not to get dissappointed
of the empty interior due to the reconstruction that take place.
20 euros(!!!) fare entry is required without any serious information about. The exterior is truly outstanding, so you must visit this touristic attraction and have a cup of coffee
in one of the closest coffee-places of this area....

Barcelona - Antoni Gaudi 's Casa Battlo |
Gaudi Casa Batllo - ANTONI GAUDI
Gaudi Casa Batllo is a major Barcelona's tourist attraction, located at Passeig de Gracia, in the Eixample district, in the centre of Barcelona city.
Casa Batllo is definitely one of the top ten things to visit in Barcelona. The local name is "casa dels ossos", which means house of bones. Tourists guides here will quickly understand why.
It's skeleton shape, the absence of straight lines, the oral windows, the remarkable stone
work that take place here, makes you wonder the changes that a regular appartment needs.
Casa 's Batllo roof looks like a dragon's back and the inside is an excellent Gaudi's work of colour
and rooms blessed with sunlight....

Barcelona - Antoni Gaudi 's Palau Guell |
PALAU GUELL - ANTONI GAUDI
Palau Guell is one of Barcelona's best sightseeings. It is located very close to La Rambla
and it's the first step you are going to do before visiting Barri Gotic and its fabulous restaurants.
Palau Guell was designed by Gaudi and built for Eusebi Guell himself,
to be his Barcelona's town mansion, though it had to make the difference
in order to impress his high society guests.
It has its own stables in the basement which the horses could reach through a ramp.
The guests could go up the stairs guiding to...

Barcelona - Antoni Gaudi 's La Pedrera |
LA PEDRERA - ANTONI GAUDI
La Pedrera is located about 200 meters from Casa Battlo, also at Passeig de Gracia, in the Eixample district, in the centre of Barcelona city. So you may enjoy them both in just three hours having a coffee brake at the many cafes nearby.
La Pedrera completed in 1912, by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and is also known as Casa Mila, due to Pere Mila for whom and his wife Rosario Segimon the house built. La Pedrera building is now owned by Caixa Catalunya and is part of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE...

Barcelona is Gaudi's city,
a cosmopolitan mediterranean port, the diamond of Spain with millions of tourists every year.
To take a walk through the streets of Barcelona is a surprise in every step
with a lot of attractions all over!
Every Barcelona's tourist guide should also mention the civilized behaviour
of the professionals in most of the restaurants, bars and hotels
which are located in this magnificent Barcelona city.
Barcelona's residents (1.620.000) are polite, prompt to help, although loosing your orientation
in Barcelona is something difficult to achieve... |
Barcelona's Tourists may enjoy barcelona's sightseeings and attractions
during a weekend or by a long-day stay in various barcelona's hotels,
most of them located near the Gaudi's masterpieces of art, gothic quarters, beautiful squares
and medieval districts.
Beautiful, wide and clean Barcelona roads waiting to be walked
guiding every tourist to eat some tapas (Barcelona's top) in the restaurants
or having a refreshment at the hundreds Barcelona's cafe's & bars.
Enjoy this outstanding Catalan city
which is well known (in recent times) for the 1992 Olympic games
which gave the last draw in this painting.
Barcelona's Metro is very usable and it's a good idea to buy a Barcelona's metro card during your stay.
It also includes discount for many attractions worthy to visit.
