Having already visited Barcelona 4 times
& read all those Barcelona tourist guides,
some of those quite helpful I have to say,
although most of them not even close to reality,
I decided to create my own Barcelona web site
in order to guide you at all the right Barcelona paths.

When you'll visit Barcelona:
remind that:
Barcelona has banned the consumption of alcohol in the streets.
Failure to respect this law might cost you some fines.
Smoking is not aloud in many Barcelona bars or restaurants so you should first be smart enough
to ask whether to light up cigarette or not in order to avoid the imposition of fines.

Bars and clubs located in Barcelona city have friendly atmosphere, nice usual customers

Bar's name means elevator in spanish and there is actually one in the entrance of this bar.
Nice cocktails. Taste Mojitos, Pomade coctail and whisky sours as a suggestion.

Barcelona BAR drinking:
Start out the night in your hotel bar with a bottle of Spanish wine.Then head to the Barri gotic or El Raval where there are plenty of dive bars.If yu don't want to spend too much money in your drinks,
order a canya (tap beer) or a Spanish bottled beer like Estella or San Miguel.

A modernist cafe - restaurant - bar
locates in Montsio, 3 bis 08002 Barcelona.
They say that there was the favourite Picaso's place, where he used to dine
in the early 1900's.

Velcro bar:
All kinds of cocktails in this small - friendly place. Good music and service - a bar where everybody knows your name.
Locates in Vallfogona, 10 - Gracia

Princesa 23 bar:
A hot-spot bar for tourists from all over the world. Cheap coctails - like Frozen Margaritas, Daiquiris, Long Island Ice Tea´s Mojitos, great beer on tap, a menu of the day with it from 12:00 to 16:30 and a full menu from 18:00-23:00. This bar is open
to 3am and serves also regular local customers.

Barri Gotic Barcelona Constitution

The Old city:
The whole medieval city is the scene
of the age of splendour.
Untill the mid. 19th century
it was surrounded by walls.
The central part,
known nowadays as
the Barri Gottic (Gothic Quarter),
thought in fact Gothic arcitecture is also
to be found elsewhere,
contains most of the buildings where
today as in bygone ages,
the major events of the city's political life take place.
Two sides of the Placa del Rei
(Placa Reial)
are occupied by the Palau Reial Major
(dates 14th century)
On the other side of the courtyard is a great renaissance mansion,
the Palau del Lioctinent,
the former seat of the important Archives
of the Crown of Aragon
and the Casa Clarianna Padellas,
which houses the Museu d'Historia
de la Ciutat.
The Cathedral comprices several highly interesting constructions
from different periods. (13-15th century).
Don't miss the admirable 14th century church
of Santa Maria del Mar (La Ribera old district).
