Having allready visited Barcelona 4 times
& read all those Barcelona tourist guides,
some of those quite helpful I have got to say,
although most of them not even close to reality,
I decided to create my own Barcelona web site
in order to guide you at
all the right Barcelona paths.

Visit Barcelona during the low season, from October to April and you'll find the cheapest hotel deals.
Many hotels don't volunteer information on special fares or deals when booking a room,
unless you specific ask them for.

Close to Pyrenean town of Puigcerda you'll find
la TORE DEL REMEI palace, restored by Modernistas in 1910 with great view in the highheels.
Also visit VALL DE NURIA, the enchanting Pyrenean hideway, surrounded by crests reaching as high as 9.840 feet is a ski resort in wonter and a green oasis in the summer.This valey is only accesible via a silent railway passing throuht a breathtaking mountain scenery.

in getting around in Barcelona
METRO:
Barcelona 's five-line metro system
is convenient, easy to use, fast
and not expensive.
Metro stays open all night on Saturdays.
Check the departure time.
BUS:
Barcelona 's bus system covers the entire city.Bus stops are clearly marked
and busses share their destinations
on the front.You can always pick up
a bus guide in order to get informed for the routes and the scendules
from tourist offices.
TAXI:
Yelow and black Barcelona 's taxi indicates
with a green light on the roof that is free.
For two or more passengers,
barcelona 's taxi is as cheep as
the metro for short hops.
BICYCLES:
In Barcelona there are over 80kms
of bike lanes throughtout the city,
outlined on maps available from
the tourist offices and bike rental shops.
TRANSPORT FOR DISABLED:
The airport bus is accessible to wheelchair users as are lines 1 & 2 of the metro,
some city buses and specials taxis dedicated to wheelchair users.
ON FOOT:
Barcelona is a great city made for walking.
The old town of Gracia or Barri Gotic area
and certainly the Port Olympic is also
made for walking.
In case you won't use your own vesicle
in Barcelona a great idea is to use a Barcelona card which will offer you some hreat discounts in most of the important museums fees, in restaurant's and bar's checks and of course a free gratis
in your transportation
through and around the city.

Never forget to Book Ahead, especcialy
if you are vissiting Barcelona in High season.
Hotels and hostals give the best rooms to those who ask for them.So inguire the room that you want.
For single travellers-single rooms are a few and far between, but hotels are legally obliged to let double rooms to single travellers at a fixed price. All rates must be posted in reception or in the rooms.
For families-many hotels offer a discount for children under 12 years old
as long enough they share their parents room in a temporary bed.
5.Always leave your valuables in a safe box, which most hotels will provide you.
Throughout the Pyrenees and other mountain areas you'll find refugis (basic mountain hostels for hikers and bikers) offering cheap accomodation.Don't forget to book in advance in the summer months.
