some of those quite helpful I have to say,
although most of them not even close to reality,

SOME guide TIPS in Barri Gotic:
If you are looking for a proper martini or an alternative walk, then perhaps-while you are in Barri Gottic or in Raval area -you should take a walk in the hip "ELBORN" neighbourhood.A Barcelona neighbourhood, attracted by artists and students, full of cafes-bars and experimental design shops. leads to famous Platha Real.Enjoy it!

Eating in Barcelona:
The most economical way to get a bite to eat is to pick up goodies
in the city's food markets
(like Mercat de la Bonqueria located in La Rampla or like Fira Artesana Placa del Pi in Barri Gotic-specialized in home made cheeses and honey from the Pyrenees).

JAMON IBERICO:
Comes from the fine black iberial pig which
lives primarily in the South and Southwest
parts of Spain.
There are tree types of Jamon:
The finest jamón ibérico is called
jamón ibérico de bellota.
The next grade of jamón ibérico is called
jamón ibérico de recebo.
The third type of jamón ibérico is called
jamón ibérico de pienso, or simply
jamón ibérico.

Notice that:
The term pata negra is also used to refer to
jamón ibérico in general and may refer
to any one of the above three types.
Jamon Iberico is very expensive and not widely available abroad.

Things to Avoid when you're visiting
a restaurant in Barcelona:
Most of the touristy terrace restaurants
line La Rmpla.Although if you get there,
and you are hungry, you should preffer
the side streets off La Rampla
with better food and more reasonable prices. In general try to avoid all the touristic places in order to eat something fresh and worth-value.
Also be awarre of some paella and tapas eateries (again around touristic areas)
cater solely to tourists, charging sky-high prices for mediocre meals.
